Added a 'textMode' toggle to warp either individual characters or full words to a quad. Word-warping works better for longer quotes, so I tested it with some good quotes to live by from Picasso and Warhol. Can you guess which is which?

Yesterday’s test print from my current project TextWarp — a typographic experiment where each letter is distorted inside a warped quad. This one features the phrase "Make art or die trying", a fitting motto to live by. #generativeart #posterart #p5js

textToPoints() was glitchy, so I used opentype.js + getPath() and tweaked the paths.

Just built a QuadLayout class — it slices a rectangle into quads using non-overlapping horizontal and vertical cut lines. Next up: experimenting with type inside the layout. #generativedesign #p5js

Tweaked the ellipse packing algorithm and tried some gradients. This piece is seeded with “26th May 1992” — my birthday — which also appears as text in the composition. Next up: Exploring more ways to embed seeds in generative visuals.

I'm experimenting with embedding the generative seed — in this case, "misha.studio_" — into the visual piece itself, not just as a code parameter, but as typography integrated into the composition. You could say it becomes both input and output. #generativeart

Tinkering around with type in 3D space. And spent too much time getting the video export working, wanted to have webm directly with CCapture but couldn’t get it to work with p5 instance mode. #generativedesign #p5js #webgl
