I really like Gunn’s theme and character work, and think he’s a great storyteller. For me, it’s his humour that I can’t get behind. All the ‘us Eastern Europeans say American things no?’ and self indulgent quips is way less entertaining than when he’s trying to tell an interesting narrative.
