Found these photos I took back in September while on a walk with my Mom 🐍
A great blue heron standing tall and alert in a very brushy pond, it's silhouette is perfectly reflected in the still, gray pond water. The same heron in hunting mode, neck curved to strike the water. A blue and black garter snake slithering over grass towards the pond brush. It was in pursuit of a much larger but similarly colored garter snake that is not in the photo. A large bullfrog blending in with the leaves and pond scum.

Yesterday was a perfect autumn day in the Pacific Northwest, such dramatic lighting🍂

A few older niche ones and a common Stephen King find. The most original werewolf story here is Thor, told through the eyes of the family German Shepherd (they made a movie based on the novel called Bad Moon, but the book is completely from Thor's perspective).

Unsuccessful star photography from last night, moon was too bright and the horizon too hazy from wildfire smoke, but still caught a faint milky way and possible meteor streak 🌠🌌
