Transactional and corporate lawyer working primarily with startups. Have been reliably informed I am neither as smart nor as funny as I think I am.
It’s hard to be a proud Penn alum when the accused murderer is arguably the least reprehensible person on the list.

Our ‘niece’ (not really related) who will be turning 16 asked if I would teach her to drive a stick.

Though I’m likely to try to find a car other than mine to teach her on, I’ve never been prouder or happier to do anything for her

(My wife is better on a stick than I am so she’ll likely step in)

I live in a very large city and drive a stick (and have driven nothing else for most of my adult life.)

Nuzzi, Lizza, Cilizza. . .

I think those z’s did some serious damage to the pundit class.

(Just something that occurred to me earlier today)

I love Garamond for ‘formal’ things like legal correspondence, but I changed all of my form agreements to calibri a few years ago.

I don’t know if it’s true but I instinctively feel sans serif is less ‘aggressive’ to a counterparty

Many things I enjoyed though the ‘crisis leads to an epiphany’ felt a little hackneyed.

Sandler was good, Dern was good, Keach was good and I loved the way Clooney played against who he (according to my perception) really is.

My wife was expecting a comedy, and it ain’t that, though.

Though I play it through very few years, it’s one of those games I wish I could play again without the knowledge of what happens.

They’re both brilliant.

It is amazing how many of my fellow Americans inherently think the rest of the world is undercivilized, poor or dystopian.

Most Americans don’t travel so their worldview was shaped by, I think, the post WW2 era (or maybe the 80’s) and never updated.

Murdoch’s empire, of course, reinforces this

Have you told him most fans skip season 7?

I understand his desire to be a completist, I suppose.

One of my biggest problems is if I step away and then return to the puzzle. If I’m viewing the clues in sequence, it’s easier for me to hold multiple cascading clues together (‘there are two criminals joining x — ah, now I see how that impacts y’)

If I switch focus for even a minute, it’s all lost

I ask myself (frequently in the last 11 months) if not the US, where?

Admittedly, I’m a middle aged, middle class, cis white hetero man so my concerns are very different, but as someone who has also lived in different places, I know everywhere is imperfect.

Is anywhere ‘good’?

I don’t know

Sure, but the gallery hall comes with surplus L’s. If this were architected by a human, you’d have to pay for that.

And here I thought the biggest controversy about Hee Haw was why in the hell everyone watched it.

Please tell me there is some resource for these tales of woe.
