One soul, two worlds.

This is Mirrim - a fantasy survival TTRPG where you play two characters both trying to survive.

Craft intricate gear, hunt down mutated creatures, and make decisions you may end up hating yourself for...literally!

What's in store for Mirrim surviving in The Dry?

Only the Mirrim can get water to The Dry...

Everyone wants to help you, but there's never enough to go around...

How would you handle so many people needing your help?

What is the Flooded Side of Mirrim like?

Ruined streets drowning in dangerous water that wants you gone.

Scavenge what you can, and find your target - a monster you might just know...

Would you risk survival to save someone else?

In Mirrim, thirst is an ever-present threat.

The Dry Side has no water.
The Flooded Side has a corrupted flood.

The only solution?
Delve the Gorge for forbidden science and relics on one end,
to take the fight to mutated monsters on the other.

Co-operation with your opposite is paramount to survival in Mirrim.

Two reflections, conflicting goals, and shared consequences on either side..

What would you want to know about playing as a Mirrim?

Today was spent developing the character sheet for Mirrim.

Each player controls two PCs, with their own roles, stats, and abilities that mirror one another. Players can borrow stats from their reflection, but giving them back is tricky...

Magic, science, or something in between?

In my TTRPG Mirrim, a man-made disaster formed two worlds with two different dangers.

Will you explore newly created magic, or delve to uncover forbidden sciences? Which side sounds more dangerous?

In Mirrim, a disaster split a single city - and its people - into two reflections.
One side is flooded, where water itself is a danger.
The other is a dry desert, deprived of water but teeming with ruined technology.

What side would you explore?

Poll results are in - its some environmental concepts first!

Here are kitbashed reference pics I made using bits of stock pics for both versions of the city in my TTRPG Mirrim (Flooded/Dry)

Not final art! Just exploring the concepts

Working on some concept pieces for Mirrim today.

What would people be more interested to see first?

Lets talk about my tabletop RPG Mirrim's core mechanic - you play two characters.

These characters are starkly different, one hunting in flooded streets whilst the other scavenges in arid deserts and deep underground. Working together is crucial to survive...

Things I struggle with as a long time TTRPG DM:
• Min-maxing > roleplay
• Mechanics not developing roleplay
• Weak crafting/inventory systems
• Gods matter in lore but not gameplay

I've worked to fix these in Mirrim.
What are your TTRPG peeves?

Here's a moodboard of what the world in my tabletop RPG Mirrim is like!

I love vertically dense cities, as well as medieval/gothic architecture.

The biggest thing is the contrasting themes of a flooded city, and one buried in the sands.

Mirrim's gameplay loops take inspiration from many places, from hunting and prep work like Monster Hunter, to roguelike elements like Slay the Spire, all combined with many more great ideas that I'm excited to share.

I'm working on MIRRIM, a survival-fantasy tabletop RPG built around reflections. Players control two characters, each in a mirrored version of the same ruined city trying to survive. I'll be sharing devlogs, lore, and playtest updates here as I go!
