Today, regardless of who wins, the Commonwealth of Virginia will vote in the 1st Female Governor.
This is quite a milestone given this state was home to the Capital of the Confederacy where there were no rights for citizens unless you were a white landowner.

Ukraine is changing culturally very quickly. English is now the 2nd language of Ukraine, not Russian. This war is responsible for that. Russian statues and street are disappearing and Ukrainian names like Odesa (not Odessa) are finally emerging. No more Ekaterina in Ekaterina Square.

Out of grenades? A Ukrainian fighter threw a 120mm mine into a basement with Russians. By using a standard UZRG-M detonator he converted it into a large grenade.

On July 28, Ukrainian GUR special forces carried out a successful overnight raid on Tendrivska Spit in Kherson region. The team destroyed a Russian position (its personnel, electronic warfare system “Zont,” and a “Rosa” radar) and then raised a Ukrainian flag on the spit after the operation.
