This is possible if we prioritize care, compassion and collaboration over competition, and cultivate our community of practice.

Even institutional and structural reform needs to be in place so that the youth has fertile ground to plant seeds of change. Soon we will realize that one does not need to be of a certain age to exercise power; and we can forego institutions completely, as they have already served their purpose.

Recognizing that fighting for change is intergenerational, we (adults) need to exert more effort in opening ourselves—perception, assumptions & personal biases—up to the youth by learning how we can be affirmative of their identities, needs and realities. important to them go a long way.

I showed up to the space with my experience working with young people and became a session host in an instant.

We held space for conversations on participatory, feminist and queer approaches in youth engagement.

Informed by the Learning Experience Design Competency Framework, everyone thought of questions, interests and ideas around designing learning experiences. These became tentative session ideas and were arranged into certain themes that the plenary can vote for.

An unconference is an invitation to a peer-led, democratic and collaborative sharing. It aims to give assurance and confidence in our competence as experts of our own realities and lived experiences.

This scary feeling, however, turned itself around when I joined Habi Academy's Learning Fiesta for the first time, which is an #unconference in principle and has had many iterations since its conception in 2014.

i watch more east asian and southeast asian films and series, but ultimately into the Boys Love genre
