You have until noon people. Find where you can cast a special vote today on your local council website.
October 10, 2025 at 7:55 PM
Have they not arrived at all?(you'll need to cast a special vote which isn't as scary as it sounds; your council website and local library will have the details on where to go to do that)?

Are your voting papers sitting on the kitchen counter and you just need a gentle nudge to finally get them in? Drop them in an orange bin because postal voting has now closed.

I got my hoodie! And of course I voted #KeepMāoriWards

When did Hipkins define women as biologically female? I feel like that would have been pretty big news if he'd gone down the NZ First transphobic track

It may be grey in Te Whanganui-a-Tara but you can still get out the vote to #KeepMāoriWards

Voting has been open almost 2 weeks and only 4.2% votes returned in Wellington 😭😭😭

Don't forget to vote. You can cast a special vote if your papers haven't arrived.

And of course #VoteKEEPMāoriWards

I'm soooo excited. The papers are finally here.

After some very serious deliberation about how to cast my STV preferences I will be voting KEEP the Māori ward (City Council) and KEEP the Māori constituency (Regional Council).

And then I will be skipping to the orange wheelie bin to drop them in

Was going to report them but was bowled over by their artistic expression and walked on.

She's a skilled political operator. Many people on this site might not like her politics. But she's at least competent, intelligent and capable of engaging with issues in detail.

Love that they can take out 28 books & will have finished them and be back for more in a week.

Love that in the corner is a group of teenagers quietly hanging out.

Love that there are people working away on the free computers & their own laptops.

This dead city strikes again. Took the kids down to the waterfront for a bite to eat and hundreds of Wellingtonians wandering around aimlessly.

Cutting it a bit fine but got my submission in on the academic freedom of speech parts of the Education and Training Amendment Bill.

Still time till midnight tonight to let them know that universities shouldn't be forced to platform hate speech.
