I sent this to 2 trainee teachers yesterday! You are absolutely right that there is not enough out there for students on grades 0-2.

This is a really good way to put it, the norm of doing independent study! I think setting specific independent study tasks for the first term of y12 can ease the transition from a prescriptive (spoon fed!) y11 too.

I like your suggestions… where do you land on loci and constructions? I would happily remove them completely from the entire maths curriculum 🤣 is there anything else other than Roman numerals that you wondered about fully removing?
