Why isn’t @schumer.senate.gov pursuing a plan to reject cloture today, force Republicans to take responsibility for a shutdown, then revisit cloture in a week if necessary—before the 30-day RIF deadline? This strategy preserves leverage, pressures the GOP to cave, and keeps the option to act later?
