I cannot understand why he wants this. It’s from a European country (he hates them all) and connotes a global understanding of the need for cooperation among people of the world - again something he despises.

Pretty much - Canadian here - sadly everyone I know will boycott U.S. goods & services going forward regardless of tariffs.

Canadian here - even if no tariffs are imposed, there’s no going back on the boycott of American goods & services by all the Canadians I’ve been talking to. The damage is done.
