Proud Canadian, and want to stay that way…but at this time would favourably (note spelling) consider Canada joining the E.U.
Trump will likely boost Orban in some way to help him - but fingers crossed he’ll be gone.

It doesn’t matter if she doesn’t ask them; it matters more that WE ask the good questions. That’s the point.

Not arguing with premise, but how the fuck did we end up with us humans?

A misplaced and destructive scourge on the planet. An oopsie for sure.

Any chance photos or videos will surface?

Sadly it all comes down to feelings, regardless of how misinformed.

People feel violent crime is up (when it’s down). People feel immigrants are taking away jobs (when they actually create jobs or fill jobs that no one else wants)

Feelings get exploited by charlatans and we get bad policy.

Indeed - Clinton helped set the stage for the 2008 financial crisis by repealing important provisions of the Glass-Steagall Act.

Exactly -

It wasn’t a mirage. However, the U.S. seems to have trouble with holding political leaders accountable beyond the “vote them out” approach.
Trump should have been impeached and convicted, barred from running again and put on trial for sedition.

Hmmm, I’m going to say suburban Buffalo NY…lots of Trumpie Poles there - (although I will say that back in the day, their Smigus Dyngus was kind of fun - but I won’t be crossing the border to go any time soon)

The Jays should still get a parade
November 2, 2025 at 4:20 AM
So what exactly is “the threat”?

Name it
November 1, 2025 at 8:02 PM
Regardless of who wins this World Series, the Jays should get a Toronto parade and City Hall welcome.
October 28, 2025 at 11:01 AM
No, sadly the Blue Jays lost…

Trump saw and commented favourably on the ad days before his faux outrage. It’s his schtick.

Opinion: Is Ford’s TV ad to blame for Trump’s tariff tantrum? Be serious
Saying that protectionism and Trump’s tariff plan is bad is all well and good, but the Americans the ad is talking to no longer believe that

Read Edward Luce’s article in the Financial Times about those who really are or were “fully empowered” and are too afraid to “change all this”.

The “if they want to” part has been crushed by Trump’s brute authoritarianism into enabling silence.

Maybe ask Tim Snyder to help. He has real depth as a scholar, unlike some others who prefer pedantic explanations.

That says a lot about the sorry state of the U.S.

That’s the only chance of survival? That he dies?

If that’s true, then your country, its constitution and whatever glue of good will and decency that you had are gone.

You’re already an overripe banana (republic).

I wish everyone would just get up and walk out. A great show of unity.

Leave him blubbering incoherently.

If parents believing Trump’s dangerous bunk about acetaminophen turn to aspirin for their children, there is a risk of Reye’s syndrome.

Thank you for the gift article.

Your last sentence, however, is sadly wistful and not grounded in what can realistically be expected from the United States and Trump. Neither is capable of stepping up.

The former is busy tearing itself apart and the latter is in Putin’s pocket.
