First of all, this one looks like it had a lot of passion put into it. Bubsy is currently in good hands.
Second, you'd be surprised to learn just how many people unironically like Bubsy. You wouldn't know since most of the fans concentrate around one Discord server, but some are on Bsky too.

Would be awesome, but I just don't think it'll happen. If Sakurai had to explain Banjo-Kazooie to the Japanese audience, I don't think Bubsy is going to even be noticed.

Id hope so, but I strongly doubt it. Sakurai already had to explain what Banjo-Kazooie was to the Japanese audience, I doubt he'll give much attention to a bobcat that is only now beginning to slowly pick up a more positive light and genuine popularity.
