Keep fighting. The future is better with us together and if anything, the way these people have been treated makes me even more steadfast in what I know is true. Not a belief, but a truth. A truth that people in the LGBT community deserve rights, deserve safety, deserve happiness, deserve love.

Gay people, don't deserve to be killed and have it swept under the rug. Indigenous people don't deserve to be killed and have it swept under the rug. Women of color don't deserve to be targeted for how they look or come off to others. Nor does anyone deserve to be invalidated for who they are.

Even if she WAS intersex, we're people too! Intersex people don't deserve to be sidelined by society because we're "inconvenient." Intersex people exist, and deserve to have all the opportunities others get. That's just it. At this point, teaching empathy needs to be mandatory in school.

I've also been thinking about Imane Khalief. Everything that has been thrown at her in the past year is inexcusable. The craziest thing about it, is that I didn't even know if she's an ally! Maybe she's against gay people for all I know. But what I do know is she doesn't deserve this either.
