I’m currently living in Canada and horrified by price of dairy here. Had been telling ppl how dairy is affordable in NZ - then saw the price of butter now in nz 😱

It’s a co-dependant behaviour. My mum was an abusive narcissist and dad always made excuses for her - she gaslit the hell out of him if he even hinted at not agreeing with her. It took years after she died for him to learn to think for himself again.

And it was paid poorly. And now as a male dominated profession, it pays well 🤷🏻♀️

Years later we saw a documentary about the hotel on tv, and how it was allegedly haunted. We are both highly skeptical, but agree it would be cool if we did in fact see a ghost that day.

We stayed at the Waitomo Hotel when I was a teenager and my sister and I both saw a woman wearing old fashioned clothes go into the room next to ours. We thought it was odd, and the door was left open so we looked in - there was no one in the room. We figured there must have been another exit etc..

As a newcomer to Canada, I’ve been surprised now little indigenous peoples are represented in all aspects of life here. I look forward to the outcomes of genuine, collaborative partnerships, and an increase in visibility of indigenous peoples in general.

Some one needs to explain equity v equality to this guy. I think he wants to treat his twins equitably, but he only knows how to do equality. Hope he eventually realises that it’s ok for them to need different kinds of praise/ support.

Can’t help but notice the parallel between Zelenskyy having this thrown at him and women in the public eye being questioned / criticised by reporters for what they wear. We all know this means you don’t see them as equals.
