I do feel that learning to supervise junior trainees and delegate and scale up/down tasks, patient assignments, etc. accordingly is part of the “leadership maturity” process for senior residents (and fellows). I’m also trying to figure out how to help facilitate that growth in the attending role…

In residency/fellowship, my stance was: if on elective, it’s ultimately your time and learning. But if here on a sub-I, the goal is for you to be ready for intern year, which includes following intern expectations (including staying for signout).
Don’t have a practice as a new attending (yet)
