Covered California premiums (what folks pay after subsidies) will DOUBLE on average for 2026–unless the feds extend the enhanced tax credits that folks have access to today. Some folks will go uninsured and even those who stay covered will be spending twice what they are now.

Scott amendment eliminating 90% matching rate for #Medicaid expansion is being described as just about changing federal financing. It's effectively repeal! Amendment language is nearly identical to that in a section labeled "Repeal of Medicaid Expansion" in the 2017 House-passed ACA repeal bill!

My @familiesusa.bsky.social statement on the horrible House vote to make massive cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and the ACA, forcing millions off coverage and raising costs for millions more in both public and private plans.
This fight for the future or our health care is not over, but health, consumer and community advocates and the millions of Americans we represent will remember this vote.

I know this is very much small potatoes considering that we just got hit with a bill that will rip coverage away from millions of people...but I'm pretty mad that the GOP ruined my (and everyone's) Mother's Day evening!
