im very confused about this because it probably brings a bunch of plot holes (i think only heartcatch's movie properly ties into the main season plot) but i guess it's just some fun fanservice and doesn't matter thst much anyways 🤷‍♀️

do u Know if the flashbacks were new animation or reused? (wondering if mayb thats some of the reason for higher budget) (they seemed KINDA familiar but i haven't watched mahoutsukai in like 4 years. but i think they're a mix of newly animated flashbacks and original scenes(?))
