not exact same because dope usually isn't used negatively in the same way. you could say "this tornado weather is gnarly" but you wouldnt really say "this tornado weather is dope". gnarly is used more when something is either very good/excellent or bad/difficult/gross

so to sum it up: you could describe everything with one single word 😜

i'd say it's kind of like the word "crazy" which can be used both positively and negatively. context will make all the difference. so if your stab wound looks gnarly? it's gross and infected lol but if you caught a gnarly wave while surfing? it was awesome.

I lost sleep reading this. I ignored my responsibilities. I was holding my breath while reading and and screaming at the end of each chapter!! It's a total masterpiece, so much so that I had to make a shitty graphic for it just to show my love. One of the best stories I've ever read.
