I'm always comfortable working with older women, they have an innate knowledge of who they are that translates with greater certainty into the lens. Plus, I usually get on better with people my own age! #maturemodels

I did a shoot in Nottingham in December. Since then, I've not shot until last week. Realised I left my transmitter in the studio, 110 miles and two plus hours away.... so natural light it was then, on a lovely dull winter's day in the UK!! One burst of late afternoon sun was all I got.

I have just lost my fifth account on Instagram. To my knowledge I have never broken their terms. Never. But they will never explain why they delete my account so if I am breaking them, how can anybody ever correct it?

A lot of the women I've photographed on Mipixx have not been models, but "women next door" who decided to try a shoot out of curiosity. I love the sincerity of their poses and the intimacy of these shoots.

I tend not to do so many colour top-shelf style images as some nude photographers. I'm very taken by the use of natural light and shadow. There are thousands who are better at it than I am, but I do enjoy making the light work harder. But I like a well-lit colour shot too in the mix.

It's nice to know I can post anything I like here and not have to sift through thousands of images for a Meta-safe one to post on IG (where I am Mipixx_photography). I'm sure IG would ban me for this one. Hazel.
