Building macrophylogenies can be a computationally demanding task. Our study tested different large tree methods using ~5K UCEs for >2700 birds. We show a method that produced trees as accurate as the full ML inference but only used 1/200 of the CPU time. Now on bioRxiv doi.org/10.1101/2025...
