It’s unbelievable that these morons think they can get away with such unprofessional behaviour. I’d imagine that position pays extremely well and he didn’t have the morals to do the job properly

I love that you have a creative side, it’s essential with the work you do.

Just talking to my 2nd yr RMO son this morning about managing the angst of medicine. A rotation to palliative care is pushing him to the limits of emotional exhaustion

How do they rebuild and who is going to pay for it?
Israel just need to build a big wall around their bit and stop antagonising the Palestinians by invading their territory

The College knows about many surgeons who’s behaviour and operation results are unacceptable but they choose to do nothing about it

A rare intelligent insight from Speers

Oh dear me, that’s absolutely terrible. Too bad if you’re also a parent who is trying to get children to school and get yourself to work.

That’s not a healthcare system, that’s a debacle
July 24, 2025 at 9:48 AM
That’s terrible, that poor woman
July 23, 2025 at 9:54 PM
I think that plays a huge part of the misogyny and entitlement of Drs
July 23, 2025 at 9:49 PM
I’m in Australia too but my many friends in the UK report waiting months to get appointments for scans, the NHS really is in a dire situation.
We are so lucky here that healthcare is readily available.

Although I’m hearing that Westmead cancer services are failing their patients

What a caring and generous couple, if I had the money I’d love to help homeless women
July 23, 2025 at 12:01 PM
Truly a medical miracle
July 23, 2025 at 5:57 AM
Yes, I always try and find out who my healthcare colleagues would recommend if I need a referral to a specialist
July 22, 2025 at 7:31 PM
The UK should invest much more in all healthcare, the long waits for screening are unacceptable

In a remote area as a neurosurgeon? I don’t think so. Neurosurgery isn’t conducted outside of major teaching hospitals that have the necessary equipment.
He doesn’t have the skills or relevant registration to work as a remote GP.
July 22, 2025 at 11:14 AM
😢😢 hopefully now that he’s been sacked from Warringal today his career is over.
I can’t see any hospital stupid enough to allow him to practice now
July 22, 2025 at 10:26 AM
Yes, I hope a whole lot of egotistical surgeons and other Drs sit up and take notice…their game is up and will not be tolerated
July 22, 2025 at 10:22 AM
Giving GPs feedback is really important to stop others being referred to inappropriate specialists - good on you
July 22, 2025 at 1:38 AM
Ooooh YES!
Epworth kept him on for more than a decade after the nurse killed herself and many wonderful nurses and other staff left because of him
July 22, 2025 at 1:32 AM
I know. And Epworth Hospital would still be allowing him to operate and treat other staff like trash.
Had to laugh at the CEO talking about “zero tolerance”… as if that is ever enforced, never, ever
July 22, 2025 at 1:30 AM
Incredibly powerful words, Nyrob deserves to be seen by everyone after what she has had to endure.

Bravo Nyrob, you are a tower of strength and inspiration.
July 21, 2025 at 10:30 PM
“Zero tolerance” is a complete farce in hospitals - you know that.
Just meaningless words, if nurses complain they loose their jobs not the perpetrators…you know that too.
I’ve worked in public and private hospitals since 1982 as a nurse, I’ve seen a lot of tolerance for bad behaviour
July 21, 2025 at 10:27 PM
Yes, a very weird group of people. Their training is still brutal so if they weren’t already weird then they are by the end.
Egos off the scale
