So I noticed that cons do this a lot, and I was told they do it on purpose for crowd control. They don't want the entire fan base in one room where they won't fit, so they schedule things at the same time.

I think it's worth a lot of respect to do that. I don't really believe in blocking people outside of cases of genuine harassment, but you should be heard out.
