If copper tools didn't have purpose, you wouldn't see people choose to use them (which I have seen from both creators and friends).
I wouldn't argue that the Camel Husk is a gamechanging addition, but there's a lot of people who like it purely for aesthetic reasons and (1/2)

Would Copper Bars and Chains be neat if they didn't match Iron as much? Sure, but I have seen a lot of creativity from the community because they are match that we might not have seen otherwise. Just being a "recolor" doesn't mean a feature doesn't have a justified existence

Hard disagree. Things should often be unique, yes, but there is utility in having things that are similar as well. Should we not have colored concrete because we have colored wool? Variants do add something without being functionally different and unique - they make the surrounding world feel unique

To be fair, Mojang is completely allowed to change its opinion on certain features. Those comments aren't recent and considering they were received well by the community, I don't see an issue

Sheep variant definition. I can understand if Mojang didn't have the time to pivot and design Sheep variants, but I wish they at least added the variant definition for them so that creators could add them themselves with data packs.
