Point being: I can't be the only person alive who has experienced this kind of thing, and the way people talk about asexuality is tragic and cruel.

When I told my mom about asexuality and tried to express that I thought I was asexual, she had a complete meltdown. She called me "inhuman," among other things. She was fairly neutral when she thought I was gay.
