I forgot to put plug of the spark plug wires back in before doing this pre-VeXpo errand, so the Pinto was briefly a 3 cylinder engine

Got a new battery hold-down made of plastic from 1976. Humanity has certainly gotten better at manufacturing low cost injection molded plastic since then 😅

The car is unfortunately now leaking coolant/antifreeze from the most annoying location ever: behind the engine!
Time to buy an inspection camera to find out whether it's a fitting or a hose.

Got any ideas for Mint fandom jokes to make into magnets? The rear quarter panel is meant to have the vibe of a station wagon with too many bumper stickers, but with magnets so I can wash the car properly and rearrange them lol

After I took the pinned post pics, someone getting off work drove up and asked if he could take Minto Pinto pictures too! He said that his wife used to drive a Pinto Runabout - he was looking forward to her reaction to the pics.

Ripped out the previous restomod's questionably installed single DIN head unit and replaced it with a touchscreen for $70.

Starting to take care of the rust! I'll finish sanding this panel tomorrow and spray some primer-filler, since I don't have color match paint yet.
Not that you'll see underneath a full wrap, but I would like to not drive an actual rust bucket
