For international market price, I recommend artists to research the typical or average prices (remember to factor in shipping costs!)

🎏Pricing is a bit hard to manage, but ultimately make sure that it’s also at price that people are comfortable to buy at + cover your costs

Try to ensure these prices are affordable for international customers, eg $2-3 per sticker, based on the overseas market price

Just a side note that USD may not be the most reliable or strongest currency right now, and if you wish to oversee GOMs you could price your merch in each local currency

🎏Announce specifically when + where you’ll have your international store!

If not, choose certain trusted GOMs / Group Order Managers for potential international orders.

Make sure you have calculated your international prices and chosen a currency already!

Additionally to prevent reposting, add watermarks/warnings to dissuade non-local purchase

E.g. INA prices is ONLY for locals. International prices are in AUD. If you’re caught trying to buy at local prices as a non-local, you will be blacklisted from purchasing future merch and you’ll be blocked

Be sure to interrogate suspicious and ask questions (in your country’s slang, not formal language) to verify that they’re a local!

🎏List when you’ll accept international orders in your catalogue images, not just captions!

Put in both local and non-local prices in the images

3) SO, WHAT CAN YOU DO?

🎏Identify and inspect suspicious bulk orders

What counts as suspicious:
- Huge quantities of merch ordered from 1 person
- Delivery Address listed in an industrial area/warehouse
- Asking for many freebies (to distribute to other buyers)

The Group Order Manager would also put the currency exchange rate in their post to encourage more orders in the Group.

However, there are a few buyers who are unaware that these artists have or will be opening an online shop too

- No option to purchase directly from Artist (doesn’t know that Artist will open international store)

>Some regular group order channels (in telegram or WhatsApp) will open INA/ID GO for popular fandoms or popular artists.

Interested buyers comment to place their order before the deadline.

Be sure to get them to include slang or write in the most local way

2) WHY DO SOME PEOPLE ACT THIS WAY?

There are a few reasons:
- Saw it in a telegram group order channel
- No money, broke.
- Lack of respect for artists, only wants the merch

E.g.
Country-only Memes, or trending hashtags/topics that only your countrymen know

You might also consider making local buyers write down the reasons why they want to buy your merch, so that you can fact-check and see whether their grammar is natural (local) or unnatural (chance of non-local)

where they come from, how they place orders etc so it’s easier for artists to identify suspicious non-local buyers!
