Spun the Communards album I picked up today and… yep, this feels like the inevitable next chapter of my ongoing Bronski Beat obsession. Same glittering synth nerves, same big-hearted drama, I swear Jimmy could turn me.

Album of the day: 1001albumsgenerator.com/albums/24lX0... Been doing a McCartney retrospective and this one popped up on 1001. A great album, a little uneven but more rock than his later incarnations.

Klaatu 3:47 EST just discovered this 1976 gem. I totally get the controversy it had back in the day. So Beatles. #nowplaying #music

I am annoyed. I arranged for a postal ballot to be sent to my hotel in Amsterdam. DHL claim they delivered, the hotel denies it. I’ll have no other chance to vote during this trip. So there goes my chance to vote. #auspolitics

This is such a powerful piece of music. I have no doubt about Philip Glass' genius.

Jean Michel Jarre, seems like an appropriate soundtrack for the day's chaos. This album always makes me sad when I get to the haunting "Last Render-vous" which was supposed to be performed on the shuttle Challenger.

More The The, this time "Infected". I remember hearing this back in the 80's. Matt Johnson's "This is the 51st state of the U.S.A." hits differently today, but still the same in a way.

Dug out my original '78 copy of Grease soundtrack. I'd like to have a word with my 12 yo self about looking after the vinyl.

ABC's 2nd album "Beauty Stab". Left the new romanticism behind in favour of some politics. "There's a silent majority seen and never heard from Charles I to Charles II to Charles III" Not bad for 1983.

Tubular Bells, Mike Oldfield.
My 5th grade teacher (1976) was obsessed with this, I remember it being dubbed onto our b/w video montage the class did. Reel to Reel video, the portapack was at least 25kg. #musicsky #VinylCommunity #NowSpinning #NowPlaying #VinylRecords

The Beatles Revolver came out the same year I was born. It has aged much better. Rapidly becoming my fav Beatles album.

I did Lou Reed in reverse, my first CD of his was Magic and Loss, worked back to Transformer and then discovered the Velvet Underground.

Velveen the 2nd album from Transvision Vamp. I personally preferred Pop Art but the title track is a brilliant piece. Originally owned on CD from when it first released but recently picked up the vinyl.

A little mellow Dire Straits...Brothers in Arms. I always remember the scene in the West Wing where te president was in the church and the title track of this album played...chef's kiss.
