When you get to order your own birthday present in Finland in February. Roll on spring.

So what will I do with all the time given when breaking up with FB and Instagram? Write two books. One will be a horse book. The other, a crime novel. There, no problem with all that spare time.

I've read a lot of interesting thing on social media recently, regarding how riders and other people are responding to the new meta analysis on what impact riding the horse with the head behind the vertical has on the welfare of the horse.

The more things a foal encounters, the more things she'll get used to as being normal and part of the environment. Ilo the foal is watching a dog.

I was looking for one image folder, and as usual, found some interesting stuff but not that particular folder, no. Checking for self carriage. I've no beef with using a double bridle if it's used like this (the rider can out herself if she wants to, the climate on social media is what it is).

Because it's always a current topic: Facial expression of horses. In this image, high stress level, no discernible pain or fear.
Context: The mare in the image is cantering with her friends on one pasture while a new horse has been let into the adjoining pasture.
