Yeah :( There was a period where Google (search) did this, but I checked back just now and not only did they fix the query-eating noscript redirect, but they actually serve search results again too!

In an old ad for board game Scattergories in Spain a player was shown flouncing out while anothet said “OK, we’ll accept ‘octopus’ as a pet”.
“Aceptamos pulpo” has now entered the language in the meaning of “that’s a bit of a stretch but let’s go with it just for the sake of argument”.

Implements it in its default configuration and without prompting, to be specific. So anywhere I ssh to can just read my clipboard, quietly and whenever it wants. Neat.

There’s an entire section in foot.ini(5) about this (OSC-52). What a relief it’s well-known that the default is unsafe 🙃

Good news: This turns out to be a clipboard read/write escape sequence protocol, which is about the least disturbing thing it could have been.

Bad news: I didn’t know that protocol existed, even after searching for it specifically, and was unaware my terminal implements it.

As a preview of what's going to be possible in the upcoming release of GrapheneOS, here's a screenshot from a Pixel Tablet running desktop Chrome in a virtual machine with basic GPU acceleration via ANGLE on the host. The infrastructure is a lot more robust than the Terminal app.
