Journey is one of my favorite games for exactly this :)
It gives players the chance to be altruistic, and successfully accepting interdependence with another player lets you both go much farther and faster than you could alone, but to do so listen and play a game of give and take

Nintendo was just granted a patent for summoning characters and using them to fight each other. Think Pokémon battles.
This is concerning. I hate that companies can own game mechanics and lock them out from others. I really hope this does not burden indie devs in this genre
