If you take the standard copper would be a great car and doing the service by yourself it’s pretty cheap. I had the cooper s and was too expensive. With the cooper is another level. Not so fast but great to travel! Mine is the “ol’ blue”

That it’s pretty new and the newer gen is reliable. But it’s a beautiful car. Sad story that give you so much problem. I had the same problem and I solved it starting learning what to do by myself and now it’s pretty cheap

Bad roads, in 30000km I’ve changed again most of the suspension part.
(Problematic because it’s pretty stiff for most of the road of south Italy that are pretty bad)
In fact my mini became the car to travel.
