I wonder at modern day Christians. We live now in a post-Christian society, but the persecution that is so insisted upon doesn't seem to hold a candle to the bonfire that was Roman persecution.

These early Church Fathers witnessed firsthand the atrocities committed on their flock, and in some cases went willingly to their martyrdom.

"The Lord, in disarming Peter, disarmed every soldier.” —Tertullian from “On Idolatry”

I wonder at modern day Christians.

That footage shows that he had the time and wherewithal to step to the side. Instead, he uses it to pull his weapon and fire into the vehicle. This video proves that he wasn't following DOJ or police force guidelines.

We are going to become Wall E humans at this rate. Can't even play our own games.

Understood! I don't have knowledge of whats happening in Cuba in the recent months/years. And all my information is coming from 1 main source and some side books all published in or before 2021. I think NPR is trying to give a historic take, but they are ignoring recent/current events?

I'm just an idiot on the internet, but from my small understanding of Cuba and US relations, I think it'd be fair to say that US sanctions have had a pretty disastrous effect on Cuba. Those effects amplified and made worse by the Castro government in different ways. NPR being NPR.

Boox might be your best bet. Since they all generally run android. I can't vouch for their performance or longevity. I've heard mixed. But they're on my short list when my Kobo Libra goes the way of the dodo.

A little effort might be required. Anti cheat stuff comes to mind. But yeah, generally no effort needed

Yeah, back in 2012 Valve did try and get Devs to sign on and develop Linux native titles. It didn't work out. Now however Valve has it worked out, and it takes very little if any effort on the developers part to get titles running on Steam OS.

Microsoft doesn't offer software support for Steam installed games as far as I'm aware. You would generally reach out to the developer or publisher of the title. Or Steam/Valve itself. Google jumped into waters it didn't understand. It was also about streaming games. Kinda an apples to oranges thing

How would Microsoft fit in to any of it? Genuinely curious about this take.
