Meursalt's prison layout could have been based on Pan's notes about Verlaine considering a lot of the design seems to specifically counter a gravity user (The water??) The cells are similar to Rimbaud's Ability, illuminations

My notes: Meursault, a secret prison for ability users that is located in France, seems specifically designed to counter a gravity user. The prison layout could have been influenced by Pan's research for
Verlaine who was trained by Rimbaud, a French spy for the DGSS and member of Transcendents, who also had notes about him.

The design of the cells in the Infinite Dice Room bear a resemblance to Rimbaud/Randou's ability "Illuminations" and are similar to his
ability of creating an isolated hyperspace.

Wiki: Since he established a rebel group against France, Pan was possibly discontented with the country. He was also crafty for being able to design a hidden cellar for his scientific endeavors and quite intelligent for having successfully created an ability-derived life-form known as Black No. 12 on his own.

Eventually paired with Rimbaud, the latter trained Black No. 12 as a spy for France and later gave him his own birth name, Paul Verlaine.

A major theme of this star is the power of brotherly love, duality of life, of mortality and immortality forever intertwined.

These two stars aren’t really twins. Pollux is brighter and more golden in color. Castor is slightly fainter and white. But both stars are bright, and they’re noticeable for being close together on the sky’s dome. From time immemorial, people have thought they looked like brother stars.

In skylore, Castor and Pollux were the sons of a mortal mother, Leda. Castor was the mortal brother, son of Tyndareus, and Pollux the immortal brother, son of Zeus. Castor and Pollux were joyfully united in spirit, yet sorrowfully divided by circumstance. When Castor was slain in battle, Pollux was inconsolable and begged Zeus to relieve him of the bonds of immortality. Zeus granted his request, and, to this day, Pollux and Castor stand reunited in the heavens, a tribute to the redemptive power of brotherly love.

Thus, the Greek myth of Castor and Pollux explores the inherit duality of life, of mortality and immortality forever intertwined.

Idas, furious, ambushed Castor, fatally wounding him with a blow from his spear – but not before Castor called out to warn Pollux. In the ensuing brawl, Pollux killed Lynceus. Returning to the dying Castor, Pollux was given the choice by Zeus of spending all his time on Mount Olympus or giving half his immortality to his mortal brother. The brothers became the two brightest stars in the constellation Gemini ("the twins"): Castor (Alpha Geminorum) and Pollux (Beta Geminorum). As emblems of immortality and death, the Dioscuri, like Heracles, were said to have been initiated into the Eleusinian mysteries.

Dazai Osamu is going stargazing with the members of the Armed Detective Agency. Despite his complaints about the cold winter night, he seems to enjoy discussing the stars with his fellow agency members.

- Do you see the orange star and white star lined up in the east? It's said that's a constellation of twin brothers. Did you not expect me to know anecdotes about stars? When you look into it, there are surprisingly many interesting stories.

- Polaris hardly moves throughout the year, so it's always been treated as an important guide for finding direction. If you lose your way, you may want to try looking up instead of down.
