Zelensky cannot go against Ukrainian public opinion in negotiations. We’ve seen it again and again and again. The US cannot push through Ru demands any more effectively than Ru could. Ru is not getting Donbas on a silver platter.

Zelensky *cannot* withdraw his troops and cede territory. His army won't do it. The public won't accept it.
🇺🇦🇺🇸 Ukraine's key "red line" in negotiations with the US is the withdrawal of troops from Donbas, - Bild.

Zelenskyy is ready to discuss abandoning NATO membership, holding elections on a shortened timeline, and freezing the frontline.

Yup. Ru will demonstrate its intransigence again-- Ushakov and Peskov already said that for the DimWit plan to work it has to become MORE favorable to Ru. They will reject whatever's coming if it isn't Ukr capitulation. The only way forward is Europe stepping up backing Ukr.
Istanbul. Alaska. Geneva. Results? Nothing.
Why? Because:
Russia doesn’t want peace.
Team Trump wants business deals.
Europe refuses to shape events in Europe.

Berlin will be no different.

There are reports Zelensky may say Ukr is dropping NATO aspirations. Given that the US is blocking Ukr for NATO and may abandon NATO, this is realism. But when Ru says "good, but we want XYZ also" it will confirm for the nteenth time that Ru doesn't care about NATO; it wants to subjugate Ukraine.

Russia just said the quiet part out loud.

Russia’s ambassador to the UK, Andrey Kelin, admitted there is no “deal” to be made with Ukraine — only an agreement on its surrender.
That single sentence destroys years of Kremlin talk about “peace” and “negotiations.”👇

The latest Trump peace plan draft doesn’t require Russia to withdraw troops from Donbas, only Ukraine must pull back, creating a "demilitarized buffer zone". Zelensky sees this as freezing the war. The plan also pushes Ukraine to accept territorial swaps, which U.S. officials call inevitable.
