Each time you go online, especially with your phone, you hand over your geo data: where you live, where you go, where your friends live, your family... You hand over info for personal infomation & actions, interests, needs, opinions... There's no better tool of control than this kind of knowledge.

Sadly it is not about the Pulse, but about the private information/Data packages those Companies nowadays come with.
Each account you have to log in to either use your phone, mail, watch YouTube or do a game...is a direct open door to your person...and the persons around you.
