These blocks as of right now can replace trapdoors in places that you would use trapdoors in. Some immediate ideas that came to mind was molding, planters, pillars, shutters, etc. They are also good as... shelves lol. Always hankering for more decorative blocks for interiors and these are perfect!

Another wonderful thing about shelves is that they all have a unique back texture!! Just having another texture in all these colors that adds a bit of detail without being noisy is awesome. Some ideas I have is using them as a wall or door.

Right off the bat i love how there's two different textures, depending on if they're powered by redstone or not. I also adore how the texture is based off the stripped version of wood rather than the planks. Always adored the stripped texture so Mojang gets bonus points for this.

Other than that I made a fully automatic honeycomb and honey bottle farm under the greenhouse from a few months ago. Actually really proud of this, i would say its 40% tutorial and 60% my own design. Not the most redstone savvy but i love dabbling with it from time to time.

So funnily enough I *accidentally* created another example of leading lines in this area lol. With how these trees point your eyes up to the church. It makes walking through my world just that little bit more enjoyable.

This is just a tiny example of how you can use compositional elements to spice up a build. It was really fun figuring out how to manipulate the environment to just add that little bit more detail.
Builds not done yet, but it was nice to focus on landscaping for a bit. More to come in the future.

Leading Lines is a photography compositional element in which the composition of the photo is done in a way to lead the audience towards a certain part of the photo. Here I used custom trees, the path, and the wall to achieve this.

I have an idea for my next big project though. I want to build a castle that takes heavy inspiration from Dunrobin Castle in Scotland! This will be a big undertaking and I've never actually built a castle in minecraft before so I'm looking forward to the challenge! Looking forward to this project

So this month the 1.21.5 Spring to Life update came out and GOD they popped off. Now *these* are the true Jacob updates lol. Best part about this update is the leaf litter, bushes, and wildflowers. Absolutely wonderful inclusions. So far, the drops have been really good, hoping they can keep it up.

The build I *wanted* to get done was a green house sorta thing. But all y'all getting is abstract shapes lol. This builds gonna be a bit technical design wise so it'll take me a bit. Stay tune for that!

Took very heavy inspiration from @solardrake.bsky.social and also some of the post offices that I've worked in personally. I want to expand more on the iconography of this to be named postal service so stay tuned for that. Here are some pics of the interior.
