During the beginning of the film, there were some racial tensions but wasn't really intense but as the film started shifting towards the end, it got a lot more explosive and ended with Raheem's death.

I agree with how the characters were portrayed in the film like how Raheem has a powerful presence in the film but ultimately is powerless against the racial injustice.
