EFC, music, history, politics, modern languages. It’s just a ride.
This evening brought us back down to earth. A middle of the table squad put in an middle of the table performance; amazing on Mon, poor on Sat.
Injuries and suspensions didn’t help today, obvs.
But it is the reality of this squad. Priorities RB, LB, CF and CM if we want to progress. Onwards. UTFT💙

Everton are the first team in Premier League history to win a game in spite of having a player sent off for fighting with a teammate. #EFC

Royel Otis gig this evening was superb. Two-stepping, pogo, sing-along. Went home with a spring in the step. Can’t wait to see them again

Much better. Barry justified starting place; his first goal is coming.
Can we report Tete to PL for that nipple squeeze?
Is Michael Keane descended from Lazarus?

On discipline...

Arsenal and Everton have committed almost the same number of fouls (102 and 106), but EVE must be evil because they received the 2nd most yellows (24, BOU tops it with 25) while ARS the fewest (10).

So the fouls/card ratio is
ARS 10.2
EVE 4.4
-
avg is 6.4
top NEW 10.6 (117 fouls)

Excellent for 30mins yesterday.
Looked like the Barry miss affected the whole team. We looked like we didn’t believe we would score again. I can’t remember the last time so many players made so many poor decisions.
I’d still select Barry ahead of Beto.
Dibling before McNeill pls.
N’Diaye ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well that was a big disappointment: too many changes to first XI at the outset, but even with best players on the pitch second half we were so timid and lacked any real threat.

Let’s be honest it’s a competition we are destined never to win tho, even after Tarkowski’s rallying cry 😬😬
