The Copper Cape is here!

To obtain it, you need to do one of the following:
- Place a Copper Golem Statue in Bedrock Edition (in any game mode)
- Watch a few minutes of a Minecraft TikTok or Twitch stream to get a code
- Obtain a code in-person at the Minecraft booth at MCC/TwitchCon in San Diego
The copper cape. Its design depicts the chiseled copper pattern. This pattern has various stages of oxidization, with the top of the cape depicting copper that is not oxidized, and the bottom of the cape depicting fully oxidized copper. The elytra design uses a similar oxidization gradient, but depicts copper grates instead.

Mojang reworked the debug screen and now allows you to customize what's shown on it, and what information is always shown!

This week's featured article: The Poisonous Potato!

It's a type of potato that poisons the player, rarely dropping (2% chance) when harvesting potato crops. It was the main mascot of the April Fools 2024 update, and is known as the most useless item in the game.

In 2011, Mojang collaborated with The Lego Group to develop a Lego game. It was cancelled in 2012 because Mojang was fed up with Lego's lawyers, and never saw the light of day.

But now it's been found by the amazing crew @omniarchive.uk!

In the YouTube video announcing the new copper features, Mojang also (perhaps accidentally) showed some vines that grow blue berries

The “Steve’s Lava Chicken” song from A Minecraft Movie is being added to the game as a music disc. It drops when killing chicken jockeys.

The newest #Minecraft drop is out now!

Java Edition 1.21.6 and Bedrock Edition 1.21.90 bring the Happy Ghast, a more friendly variant of the Nether mob that you can use to fly across the whole world. You can also use the newly improved leads to carry mobs with them!
