The church is unusual as it has two towers, a main (15c) one to the west end and an older, smaller (13c) one at the east end that believed to be used as a beacon to guide ships into harbour when Blakeney was a significant sea port.

On the day Britain declared war on Germany in 1939 artist Sir #AlfredMunnings was doing a painting of this very church.
The red brick repair to the tower is due to repairs made after it was struck by lightning in 1743.
