I work with the fine folks at @itep.org. State/fed tax policy, corporate tax, financial accounting, dogs, surf, go Washington Spirit. Glass half empty but trying to fill it.
Sellout crowd at Audi for @washingtonspirit.com . Kouassi’s lung-bursting run down the right side to set up the opening (and, as it turns out, winning) goal was one of the more amazing things I’ve seen on a soccer field.

The Social Security Administration doesn't generally send out emails cheerleading for tax cuts, so this one received over the weekend was an odd one. SSA wants us to know they are "celebrating" the passage of legislation that blows a multi-trillion dollar hole in the federal budget over ten years.

My dog swims in Rock Creek a couple times a week on hot days. I choose not to join him. He gets a quick shower at home afterwards.
On the bright side that creek has to be at least 95% water most days. The other 5% is… not something you want to bathe in.

Good to see some IRS love at the thematically-varied DC protests today.

Montana de Oro State Park. If I had 5 minutes left to experience the natural world it would be right here.

Didn’t know: there are modern descendants of trilobites that pretty much look like trilobites. Seen clinging to a rock where the ocean meets the land.

Oh FFS. Of course they had to delete the White House budget’s Historical Statistics page. Would hate to acknowledge that our nation relies on a *diverse* set of revenue sources…

In Sante Fe for Multistate Tax Commission meetings a couple weeks back, *amazed* by the proximity to good hiking. Trailhead for this 1700 foot climb was a 9 minute drive from my heart-of-downtown hotel.

Seen at DuPont Circle.
This logistically just seems like a hard thing to arrange in an urban setting.
