So to my American mind, a belt of rank seemed obvious for a monk class, but I looked it up and apparently belts of rank (and perhaps ranks themselves) weren't invented until the 1800s, so way out of scope for medieval fantasy 😬

Here's my favourite word from the Wyrm language today: shaxo (Shah-choh, the greek or scot ch), to retreat or escape. Literally "to turn wing" a la "to turn tail".
The glyph is a hill with the "wing" character fused to the end.
