I 100% agree. The Hundred format was always a sidestep to allow the ECB to own its own Big Bash/IPL.

I was at T20 in July at Lord's and it was half full for Middlesex v Surrey (the derby apparently). Most spectators were talking + drinking as is often the case at Lord's. The cricket and the teams felt irrelevant. The Hundred was totally different. Buzzy, Engaged. Poor cricket, but still...
