so I love history
Was reading the Kurtis Froedtert wiki page & thought it was kinda empty-looking. Searches didn't give me much more 🤷‍♀️
But I did find this issue of The Daily Iowan in 1946 ft some crazy news w surprisingly familiar vibes

Charlie Kirk is asked about the number of mass shootings that have happened over the past 10 years.
Kirk answers this with a question: "Counting or not counting gang violence?"
He is then fatally shot.

Within the same hour, 3 are shot at a Colorado high school 470mi away.

Also, how flexible is that crux in the middle?
(Forgive me for not reading the paper yet🙏🏻🙃)

Do we think there may be some ion-movement/-storage mediation for these 2 adj. planes of sheets like a capacitor (🔋🪫🔌💡)?...
Maybe should pick the 🧠s of some material science (monolayer) folx... 🤔

How strange! 👀👀
Feels like it's not very common for mechanisms to rely on a structure that appears limited to two axes (as opposed to being ≥3D)... Reminds me a bit of seeing the structure for a WD40 domain-containing protein for the 1st time 🥰🤓
Beautiful & surprisingly organized in a ~2D surface

New supplement trend targeting Americans with no understanding of chemistry:
"molecular hydrogen" tablets

The 1-⭐ review titled "*SCAM*!!" explaining that they detected 0 hydrogen in the water "before and after adding a tablet" is 💀...

Truly incredible 🙃

X marking this comment as "Probable Spam" & then its own AI agreeing with the purported "spam" based on available data is peak corporate self-incrimination of politically motivated censorship

🤣💀 @Amazon ads on 🐦/❌

I wasn't interested in one of these, but considering all that's been going on...

...is the algorithm trying to tell me something?

I do NOT remember this from highschool history...

"Superbus"? 🤣

This man got punished
—& justifiably so, it seems—
by the tides of linguistic evolution & technological advancement (i.e., the invention of the bus)

Given the recent news, I asked myself: "how is Israel doing it all? Aren't they busy?"

Well, not so much actually

Per Google Maps, they've begun cannibalizing Gaza, bulldozing over what were once farms, shops, gardens, & schools

Three cheers for the US making me feel like I'm actually living in a distopian future (Man in the High Castle, anyone? gtfo PKD😅)

literally talking about potential seed grant topics & I realize I've already started to compulsively worry about fundability based on ideas being 'too DEI'... smh🫠

Proof fb has 💯 committed
(Or maybe it's proof of something else 🤔):

I'm getting "Suggested for you"s like this.

Ask anyone. Look at my data.
ON NO PLANET would an algorithm/model recommend this to me.

which came first, I wonder:
The American fear of "mediocrity" in general, or the popular perception of height corresponding to quantified mediocrity and/or exception?

Can we thank Sir Francis Galton for "short-man syndrome"? 🤔
