Tl;dr I've not been okay for a while and I don't want to keep pretending I am because it's not only disingenuous to me but to all of you
After speaking to a few peeps about it, I need to take a break in order to connect more with being Mina
@everyone # VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT So as a lot may have noticed, I'm not streaming as frequently and have been cutting back on streams a lot more due to exhaustion and such. A lot of how I'm feeling is a combination of my job and my mental health and being very honest, I've been struggling in silence for a long while with my depression and other things that only so many people are aware of. To put it short things haven't been good and I've been trying to wear a smile through it which is only damaging me more than it should. This has led to a lot of questioning if I want to continue or if it's time to throw in the towel with Mina. I'm not sure anymore but it's mostly leaning towards wanting to continue playing games. I've even been questioning if rebranding from Plum was worth it because I've felt a significant drop in engagement across the board and I've been spiralling into completely irrational bouts of overthinking. The truth is things change and people move on which is sad but that's just what happens but I've stopped putting in effort because it just isn't feeling worth it anymore. Getting to the point, I'm going to be taking a hiatus for some time once I finish up some of my games. I will announce my hiatus closer to the time and if anyone wants to dip then it's all fine because I don't know what the future looks like sadly. I need to take care of myself so I can stop burning out the way I am. As for the server, I'm probably going to remove the movie night channels as after the last one I organised, I don't see myself organising another one anytime soon. I promise you guys I will be okay and I want to be better and I hope you'll stick around for my inevitable return to streaming once my hiatus kicks in. I will still be active here and there in the server but I hope you all take care of yourselves 💜 -Mina Additional update, regardless of when my hiatus starts, I will still be streaming on the weekend of my birthday next month (14th) and I might also still record and upload some stuff in my downtime just playing and enjoying games I like or wanna play without needing to wait about for a stream day so you don't miss me too much
