Today's after work wallow was the Teign near Fingle Bridge where storm Bert had had a right old go...tree and rock debris all over the place.
Peaty looking river with bare autumnal trees on one side and a rocky grassy path on the other. Bronzey brown reflections of autumn colour shimmer in the water. White sky behind. This is starting to feel more wintry.

Parkrun in #stormBert = lots of puddles. But now I have a BUN.
Half eaten pistachio bun, bun smothered in pistachio cream topped with chopped nuts in a torn open paper bag. There was some desperation/haste.

Warm from the oven Gevulde Speculaas (filled spiced cookies). The house is freezing and I have needs so I have baked to fulfil them.
Brown cake with flaked almonds on top resting on greaseproof paper. The cake has three slices cut away exposing the lemony almondy middle of the spiced cake.
