100%. Push through, lean on friends, you'll get there.

So fun fact, I had my blood pressure taken on settlement day whilst at work, and they were very close to sending me to hospital there and then.

It gets more fun once things are moved in.

Huge news, congrats. I bought for the first time this year, and have never been so stressed, but it's so been worth it. Enjoy!

Ahaha, you are sorely mistaken, friend! I'm actually recovered now, but the picture made my workmates genuinely concerned for my well-being 😅

Can't relate, best I can do is look utterly wrecked. Would share but I don't think anyone wants that tbh.

100% this. Started audiobook two of a two book series today, completely different narrator. Main character now has a remarkably different accent. Very jarring.

(Obviously there are lots of people who have read it, but you get my point.)

I can understand that. I really got into the world building of it all, for sure - it feels like there are many more stories to tell (which, iirc, is/was her intent?)

Nice to have someone else who's read it either way 😊

Piranesi was lovely, and I thoroughly appreciated it being a much shorter read too. I'm not normally one for huge books.

Yes to the fairy character! Also loved the actual powerful magician who barely makes an appearance, but his history and presence is felt throughout.

The footnotes...I definitely skimmed at times. But I liked that they were mostly supplemental.

Bought a copy for my mum after finishing 😅

I actually read it earlier this year, almost immediately followed by Piranesi. Absolute tome of a book but I enjoyed it a lot in honesty.

This feels like it should be easily achievable, yet the good ones I can think of do seem to be already married/partnered up. And in NSW.

A conundrum.

Aaah okay - thank you! That was more straightforward than I remembered. As someone who (over)uses semicolons though, I don't know how I feel about that being okay.
