100% agreed but... money and using the brain is hard so..... money. 🫠🫠🫠 At some point, a parasite like this was always going to happen (introduced by the multitude of trash scammers if nothing else) so understanding the dangers of it and preventing the spread is so so so crucial now more than ever.

It's actually getting crazy. There's 'marriages' to LLMs (very heavy use of '') There's dummies using it to defend themselves in court (fortunately didn't work out because it's not a law degree obviously) There's LLM therapy (plz never use an AI echo chamber to self therapize...)

Not to mention, paying so much money to educate yourself and refusing to do the work. I can't be too harsh on students because I'd 100000% taken the easy way out if available to me so that's were that supervision comes in. Sorry to break it to parents, but it's a group effort 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

99% sure we're talking about the same study and it was terrifying. We'll live in this generation with a lot of those kids later in life and that legit scares me. It's bad for them and I'm 100% sure, it's bad for ppl around as well. That's were that critical thinking should come in but....alas...

I actually remember lamenting to one of my friends how shitty it was I never had ChatGPT when i had to write my essays but it was a genuine blessing. Sure, having to do the grunt work and research myself was a pain but there's no fucking way I'd be who I am today without basic inquisitive thinking.

Personally (sharpen your pitchforks ppl) I accept the importance of AI in our lives. Like it or not, we've relied on it for years. Search engines, navigation, police databases etc. But Generative A.I. is a plague and it's literally poison for the brain. Just encourage kids to use their brain a bit
