My #birdoftheday is this #cute chickadee that took a nap on my birdfeeder for about 20 minutes the other day. Cheered me up while I was working!

I keep a little phone journal of the birds I see each day, and I never skip the chickadees even though I see them multiple times every day. Gills, crows, and pigeons too. Gotta remember to love the common birds!

I look very much like your average white American but I'm half Arab, and even though I never got too much racism thrown at me it made me see red the way people I share blood with were treated. I was in elementary school when 9/11 happened and even then I knew the reactionary hatred was wrong. Gross.
